Hello Citizens of the Galaxy,
Liv here, hope your Star Wars day has been out of this world (sorry) so far! Here at Typify Designs, we are massive fans of Star Wars, so we're all in a good mood today.
The new trilogy has created such a stir since the release of the first film ' The Force Awakens', with both praise and criticism being given in equal measure. Even those who are not die-hard Star Wars fans have been raving about the seventh installment and the spin off movie- Rogue One.
When we first started designing product ideas, we knew we had to include at least one Star Wars design and that wasn't because we're dedicated Star Wars nerds (ok maybe it was, a little, but it wasn't the main reason).
Since the original trilogy hit the big screen in the 1970/80s, the Star Wars Universe has become a huge (some might say galactic) part of modern culture. The characters, costumes, phrases and music involved in the films are instantly recognisable and have been celebrated, mimicked and parodied in all forms of media.
Over 40 years after the release of the original, people all over the world are obsessed with this futuristic universe. Fans young and old have developed strong relationships with the characters, despite many of them not being human. People quote them, dress up as them, sob uncontrollably into their popcorn over their untimely deaths (whoever was responsible for THAT death in The Force Awakens neither Chewbacca or myself have forgiven you....just go away and think about what you did).
We currently have three Star Wars car vinyl designs for you to choose from. 'Darth' and 'One With the Force' were the first we created, as both play integral parts in the franchise and are instantly recognisable...and they're both awesome, let's be honest.
Our next creation was a little more...imaginative. In the film, there is a rather intimidating and very masculine character called Boba Fett. He is a bounty hunter and not a guy to be messed with, so
we have no idea what inspired Oliver (one of our product designers) to create a sexy female version of Boba Fett (and to be honest, I think we'd rather not know). Nevertheless, the affectionately named 'Booba Fett' is now one of our favourite designs and we hope you love her just as much as we do.
